Picosecond Laser (PSL) Computer Control

ABOUT COMPUTER CONTROL
An integrated internal computer control unit can control the PSL series lasers automatically. The control unit
determines the laser status by analyzing the tapped optical output and then locks the laser to an optimized point.
The control software maximizes ease-of-use via readily accessible graphical controls viewable on the
computer monitor.
COMPUTER CONTROL FEATURES
- Automatic Laser Lock
- Automatic Laser Maintaining
- Remote Performance Monitoring
- User-Friendly Web Interface
The automatic mode-locking feature is a superior advantage when the user is new to the actively-mode-locked
fiber lasers. After the PSL is electrically on, the computer analyzes the status of the laser and locks
it at the point of the best performance. This whole process takes just a few minutes.

Using computer control you can maintain the laser eye diagram as shown below (>24 hours) without human's intervening the laser source for hours or
even days.
The computer automatic maintenance of the laser status is of special interest to the life or long term testing of 10- 640 Gb/s
transmission systems. Graphical performance indicators allow the user to monitor the laser performance without the need for a sampling
scope or similar instruments.
A newly developed PSL version can also provide an internal computer and embedded Web Interface, which makes it possible and
convenient for users to remotely control the laser from any external computers in the internet.
