Since Calmar Optcom launched its 40 GHz fiber lasers in early 2003, the product has attracted tremendous attentions all over the world and becomes one of the most welcomed tools in the test and measurement of ultrafast industrial applications. The 40 GHz fiber laser enables researchers and engineers to test their components and systems at very high speed. Comparing with a 10 GHz laser plus bit rate multiplier to produce 40 GHz pulses, the straight 40 GHz laser PSL-40 offers the following unique advantages:

Calmar's PSL-40 is an ideal RZ laser source for up to 640G high speed optical network testing and research. There is no interference noise between adjacent pulses and it provides high optical mode stability.
